Originally built as a private residence, this residence went through a makeover that modernized it while maintaining basic elements of the initial design, such as the stunning marble staircase that connects the two stories. Taking cues from the gold-tinted pattern that adorns the living area’s marble floors, the owner and curator of Elaia conjured a sumptuously modern space with glam-chic ’70s references that achieves the perfect balance between elegance and exuberant. In the living-cum-dining area, gold and bronze shades spice up the white and beige palette, reflecting the light that pours in through the vast windows. The custom-made collection of furniture and the assortment of decorative objects add some more shine and luster to the interiors.
