Is pool heating included in the villa rental price?
Pool heating policies vary by property. For many of our luxury villas, heating is included automatically during shoulder seasons (May, June, September, and October). For other properties, it is available as an optional on-request extra, typically ranging from £250 to £500 per week. Check the specific pool rules on each villa listing or confirm with your Bnbstay concierge before booking.
Are your private pools gated or fenced for child safety?
Most private pools in Greece and Cyprus are open to the terrace to preserve coastal views. We also manage a dedicated collection of Family-Safe Pools with secure perimeter fencing, lockable safety gates, or shallow entry zones. Let our concierge team know if you're travelling with young children so we can hand-match you accordingly.
How often are the private villas' pools cleaned and maintained?
All private pools undergo professional maintenance at least twice a week, usually early in the morning. This includes skimming, vacuuming, testing chemical balances, and checking filtration systems. Contact your local villa manager for an extra visit if needed during your stay.
What is the difference between an infinity pool and a standard private pool?
A standard private pool has traditional walls on all four sides. An infinity pool features one or more vanishing edges where the water flows over a weir, creating the illusion that the pool merges with the sea, sky, or landscape. These are popular throughout Mykonos and Santorini.
Are the pools shared with any other properties or guests?
No. When you book any property from the Bnbstay Private Pool Collection, the pool, sun loungers, and immediate pool terrace are exclusive to your group. No shared amenities, no reservation systems.
Are the private pools open and usable year-round?
Our private pools are fully operational throughout the primary Mediterranean travel season, from late April through the end of October. For an early spring or late winter stay, we recommend a villa with a heated pool.
Are pool towels provided at the villa, or do we need to bring our own?
Fresh pool towels are provided complimentary at all Bnbstay properties alongside standard bathroom linens, typically replaced mid-week during housekeeping. You don't need to pack towels unless taking them off-property.
Do your private pools use chlorine or salt-water filtration systems?
Our portfolio includes both traditional chlorine filtration and modern saltwater sanitization systems. Saltwater pools are gentler on skin, hair and eyes, a popular choice for families. Let us know your preference and we'll filter your search accordingly.
Can the pool temperature be adjusted to a specific heat?
For properties with heated pools, heat pumps are generally calibrated to 26–28°C (79–82°F). Pool heating is dependent on outdoor and overnight conditions, and pool covers should be used in the evening to retain warmth.
Can we request poolside concierge services, like a private chef or bar setup?
Absolutely. Our pre-arrival concierge team can arrange a private chef for poolside barbecues, a mixologist for sunset cocktails, pre-arrival villa stocking, or poolside massage treatments on your private terrace.
