How booking works

From your first message to the day you get home. An enquiry is not a booking, and the written quote and conditions govern the point at which your stay becomes binding.
  1. Enquiry

    You send an enquiry

Tell us your dates, who is travelling and the kind of stay you are after - either from a villa page or the enquiry form. A villa specialist reads it personally.

Nothing is held, reserved or charged at this point. An enquiry is a question, not a booking, and the villa you asked about may already be taken. We check rather than assume.

  2. Shortlist

We narrow it down with you

Your specialist comes back with villas that fit the group rather than the search filters - the bedroom layout for the party you are actually travelling with, how the outdoor space works, how far it is from a town, what the drive up to it is like.

If anyone in the group has specific access or mobility needs, say so here. We will ask the property directly rather than guess from a listing.

  3. Quote

We confirm availability and send a quote

Availability is confirmed with the owner, manager or partner who holds the calendar. Your quote sets out the total, what is included, and anything payable locally at the property.

Check the quote against the villa, dates and party details you supplied. If anything is unclear, ask before paying rather than relying on general website wording.

  4. Confirmation

    Your booking is confirmed

Before payment, you should receive the conditions and property-specific information that apply to the booking. The written confirmation will state when the booking becomes binding and who provides the accommodation.

Read those documents at that point. They cover cancellation, changes and what happens if something goes wrong, and they take priority over a general explanation on this page.

  5. Payment

    Deposit and balance

Your quote and the applicable conditions show whether a deposit or full payment is required, the amount, the balance date and what happens if a payment is late.

A universal deposit percentage is not stated here because the required amount can depend on the booking. The confirmed quote and conditions are the source for your stay.

  6. Preparation

    Before you travel

Guest details, arrival information, directions and key collection are settled in the run-up to your stay. Bnbstay does not sell flights on this website.

Optional concierge can work in different ways: Bnbstay may arrange it, the villa owner or manager may arrange it, or we may introduce you to a provider. The written service details should say who you are dealing with, what is included and when payment is due.

This is also the point to sort travel insurance and check passport, visa and entry requirements for Greece or Cyprus. Both are your responsibility, and both are much easier to deal with now than at the airport.

  7. Your stay

    During your stay, and afterwards

The contact details for your stay come with your booking documents. Use those first - they reach the people who can act fastest.

If something is wrong, tell someone while you are there. That is what gives anyone a chance to put it right. If it was not resolved, the complaints route stays open after you get home.

You can start with a rough plan.

Dates, group size and the sort of place you have in mind are enough for a useful first conversation.
